ALMOTIRI received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in computer science from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, in 2003, and the M.Sc. degree in Internet, computer, and system security and the Ph.D. degree in wireless security from Bradford University, U.K., in 2006, 2013. He was the Chairman of the Computer Science Department with Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia, the Vice Dean of eLearning and distance education, and the chief cybersecurity officer in General Administration of Cybersecurity in Umm Al-Qura University. Currently member of the scientific council at Umm Al-Qura University and an Associate Professor with the Computer Science Department, Faculty of Computer and Information Systems. His research interests include cyber security, cryptography, AI, machine learning, eHealth, eLearning, the IoT, RFID and wireless sensors, and image processing
