
Yu-Chen Lin
Summary
Yu-Chen Lin received his master's degree in automatic control engineering from Feng Chia University in 2005. He received Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the National Chung Hsing University in 2009. Before becoming an academic, He was a researcher at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Mechanical and Systems Research Lab (Intelligent Mobility Technology Division) during the five-year period from 2009 to 2014. Dr. Lin led to development of the ADAS technologies and products, such as lane departure warning system (LDWs), forward collision warning system (FCWs), rear safety assistance system (RSAS), around-view monitoring systems (AVMs) etc. He was also the project leader for R&D organization technology development program (TDP) of ministry of economic affairs, Taiwan. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Automatic Control Engineering at Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan, from 2014 to 2017. In addition, Dr. Lin was an Associate Professor in the Department of Automatic Control Engineering at Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan, from 2017 to 2022. He is currently the Professor and director of the Advanced Control and System Integration (ACSI) laboratory with the Department of Automatic Control Engineering, Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan. His research interests include computer vision, deep learning, reinforcement learning, vision-based driver assistance system (ADAS), vehicle dynamic and control, traditional Chinese medicine technology, collaborative systems, embedded system, optimal control, intelligent control.
