
Abdullah Alshammari
Summary
(Member, IEEE) (S’16–M’18) received the Ph.D. degree from Howard University, Washington, DC, USA, in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Danda B. Rawat. His Master's degree from Howard University, Washington, DC, USA, and his bachelor's degree from Tennessee State University, Nashville, USA. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Hafr Albatin, Hafr Albatin, Saudi Arabia. He has delivered Keynotes and invited speeches at international conferences and workshops. He is engaged in research and teaching in the areas of cybersecurity, machine learning, big data analytics, and wireless networking for emerging networked systems, including cyber–physical systems, Internet of Things, smart cities, Edge computing, cognitive city, mobile computing, network security, and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Alshammari is the recipient of the SACM Award in 2012,2013,2014,2015, and 2016. He has been a reviewer for over 5 international journals, including MDPI – (Sustainability Journal) and Spring Nature (The Journal of Supercomputing). He has been in organizing committees for several conferences. He was a researcher in Cybersecurity and Wireless Networking Innovations (CWiNs) Lab @ Howard University from 2016 to 2020. He was a graduate researcher in the Howard University Data Science & Cybersecurity Center (DSC2) during his PhD study. Formerly, he led Cybersecurity Innovation, Research, and Development at NEOM and NEOM AUTHORITY. In addition, he served as Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence on the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
