Summary

I am Jonas Gomes, a native of the Amazon, Brazil, on a mission to disseminate knowledge and foster a positive legacy for both humanity and the planet. This pursuit involves the development and sharing of cutting-edge models, methodologies, and effective management practices across diverse domains such as Total Quality Management, Strategic Planning, Social Innovation, and Sustainability.
As of December 2023, my professional trajectory spans a multitude of academic and professional roles, with a cumulative dedication of 16,659 hours to teaching, advising, and implementing participatory strategic planning models and projects.
My commitment extends to democratizing science, evident in the publication of 400 articles in newspapers, 36 in scientific journals, and the authorship of a comprehensive book.In the social sphere, my voluntary endeavors have resulted in the plantation of 1,000 trees and a positive impact on 5,000 individuals through social projects in the Petrópolis community, situated in the southern zone of Manaus, the capital of the Amazon.
Our collective efforts have afforded me opportunities for participation in four international exchanges, generously sponsored by esteemed entities such as the Japanese Government's MEXT (1997-2003), Japan International Cooperation Agency (2007), US Department of State - Bureau of Education (2013), and Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2022).
Notably, my most recent exchange involved substantive engagement with Japanese experts tasked with formulating and implementing public policies, programs, or projects aligned with the tenets of Society 5.0 and Net0 (Smart Cities, Green Hydrogen, Solar Energy, Electric Vehicles, etc.).
Presently, I serve as an associate professor at UFAM, contribute as an ad hoc consultant for FAPEAM, review submissions for the Foresight Journal and the PEERJ Journal, and actively participate as a member and reviewer for ABEPRO, the Internet Society, Smart Cities World, Smart City Institute Japan, and the World Economic Forum (Digital Member).
