I am an assistant professor and the current head of the Mathematics Division at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics, University of the Philippines, Los Baños. I conduct research in Applied Mathematics, focusing on optimization, metaheuristics, and persistent homology applications. The title of my most recent article is "Event-Based Rainfall-Runoff Forecasting in the Pampanga River Basin, Philippines Using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN)". Currently, I am completing my doctoral research on the application of persistent homology in data science and machine learning.
