Agus Pratondo

Summary

Prof. Agus Pratondo, Ph.D. earned his Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from ITB (2001), then worked in a software house before pursuing a Master’s in Information Technology at ITB (2006). Due to the 2007 financial crisis, he transitioned to academia, joining Telkom Polytechnic as a lecturer in 2009. In 2012, he received a Singapore government scholarship for his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, at the National University of Singapore, completed in 2016. He later obtained a professional engineering qualification (Ir.) in 2021. Holding key academic and managerial roles, he has managed government-funded projects worth IDR 3.5 billion. His research on machine learning for image segmentation and classification is widely cited, earning him a Scopus h-index of 13. In 2024, he was listed among the World’s Top 2% of Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier BV for his scientific contributions.
