Summary

Biologist, Researcher @ Laboratório de Ecologia e Evolução, Instituto Butantan. I am interested in Cytogenetic and molecular studies in neotropical vertebrates aiming at accessing biodiversity - including phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary history of different groups in different biomes. Cytogenetic studies play an important role in chromosomal evolution, characterization species-specific karyotypes and contribute to cytotaxonomy. At the same time, molecular approaches, based on mitochondrial and nuclear DNA gene sequences, provide access to phylogenetic reconstructions and contribute to molecular systematics and phylogeographic studies in interest groups.
