Dr. Sayed Abdul Azeez is a Molecular Biologist and Bioinformatician working as Assistant Professor and Chairmen of Department of Genetic Research in Institute for Research and Medical Consultation, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. He is a member of IRMC Main Council, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. He is having 11 Years of Experience in the field of Molecular Biology and Molecular Genetics. He is an author of a more than 19 research papers in high impact journals. He awarded with one US patent. He received Life time achievement award from IOSRD. His research focuses on how genetic information can be used at the molecular cellular level to explore the functional impact of genetic variants in organisms ranging from microbes to mammals. By an unambiguous emphasis on the identification of the principal pathophysiological pathways and mutations responsible for the development of diseases. Presently his focus on CVD and Thalassemia Diseases in molecular level to identify the mutations using Next generation sequencing technology and He worked with Iscan, Human Omni2.5 Chip to scan the SCD with CVD patients to understand the expressions done by micro array data analysis. He is a Principle Investigator for 5 projects and Co-investigator for 10 small and 2 major ongoing funded research projects. He has completed 10 projects funded by KACST and DSR, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University.
