Summary

I am interested in the taxonomy of mites (Arachnida: Acari), with special emphasis on species of agricultural importance being either beneficial or pestiferous. I am fond of conducting biodiversity surveys in searching for mite groups harboring various habitats. Since there has been a debate among systematists about the adequacy of the morphological species concept in identification, recently, I have become interested in using molecular-based techniques in mite identification.
