Alejandro Rodríguez-González, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Languages and Systems and Software Engineering at Technical University of Madrid. His main research interests are the Semantic Web, Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical informatics field, with a particular interest on the creation of Medical Diagnosis Systems, medical knowledge representation and the extraction of knowledge from different sources (text, social media, etc.) and the analysis of social media impact in e-Health. He has a degree in Computer Science, a M.Sc in Computer Science and technology in the specialty of Artificial Intelligence, a M.Sc in Engineering Decision systems and a PhD in Computer Science. He has published several papers in international journals and edited various special issues in high quality journals such as Journal of Medical Systems, Journal of Biomedical Informatics, Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine or International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, among others. He also has participated in the organization of several workshops in top international conferences such as International Semantic Web Conference and Extended Semantic Web Conference.
