María Sol Fanjul is a Researcher of Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) at Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMdP) and the Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas y Costeras (IIMyC) from 2008. Her work focuses specifically on the behavior and physiology of subterranean rodents of genus Ctenomys. She received the degree in biology (studying chemical communication of Ctenomys) and the Doctorate degree (studying behavioral and physiological regulation of reproduction of females of Ctenomys) from the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Mar del Plata, Argentine, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. Since then, she has studied different aspect of females' sexual selection, and now is currently exploring different aspect of individual differences on the subterranean species of rodent, Ctenomys talarum.
