Amalia Hosein
Summary
Dr. Amalia Hosein obtained an M.Phil. in Microbiology (2007) at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine and has presented her research at the White Agriculture Conference in Beijing, China, 2004 and at the Caribbean Academy of Sciences in St. Georges, Grenada, 2008. She trained with the International Centre for Genetics Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) and United Nations University- Biotechnology for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNU-BIOLAC) in 2010 and 2011 in bioinformatics. Her strengths lie in her observational and analytical skills and a passion in the search for knowledge. Several aspects of her work and competences are benchmarked on the scientific approach. Her work in the area of Cardiovascular Disease assessment paves the way for improved detection criteria as well as contributes towards her current research agenda.
