1985 - graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical Institute, Department of Biology and Chemistry. Since 1985 - working in Laboratory of Department of Zoology and Ecology of Moscow State Pedagogical University. 1992 - Diploma of "kandidat nauk" (D.Ph.) " Structure of a genus and characteristics of species in springtails of family Isotomidae ".
Present research position: Leading Research Associate of Scientific-educated Centrum of Ecology and Biodiversity of Moscow State Pedagogical University.
Research interests: taxonomy, faunistic and ecology of Collembola, mainly families Isotomidae and Entomobryidae; biotopical preferences and separation of closely related species; diversity of Collembola in space, criteria of species; fauna of Isotomidae of the world and collembolan fauna of Palaearctic region.
Achievements:
Being among the authors of Keys to Russian Collembola (Volumes 1 and 2)
Being an author of the Palaearctic Synopses of the largest Holarctic collembolan family, Isotomidae (2001) (Synopses of Palaearctic Collembola. V.3).
Describing of 216 new species. Presenting papers in scientific seminars and publications in impacted journals, at whole, 114 journal papers, 1 textbook, 3 monographs.
Research experiences: Various methods of field collection of soil zoology; Collembolan taxonomy; statistical treatment of the data, estimation of different parameters of biological diversity. Computer skill: FoxPro Programming.
