Lawrence H Lash
Summary
Dr. Lash is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Pharmacology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he has been on the faculty for 31 years (1988-present). His research interests are in the areas of biochemical and molecular toxicology, focusing primarily on the roles of GSH-dependent metabolism and transport in determining toxicity of environmental contaminants and therapeutic drugs in the kidneys. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology (2016-2022), is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (2004-2020) and Pharmacology & Therapeutics (2004-2020), and serves on several other editorial boards. He is also a standing member of the fellowship study section for the NIDDK (2009-2020) and for NIOSH (2018-2022). Dr. Lash has participated in 3 workshops for IARC (2012, 2014, 2017), have served as a member of the U.S. EPA Chemical Assessment Advisory Committee (2012-2018) and as a member of the U.S. EPA Children's Health Protection Advisory Committee (2012-2017).
