Systematics cestodes parasites of batoid fishes, with emphasis Neotropical freshwater stingrays, based on morphological (light microscopy, histology, and scanning electron microscopy) and molecular data (nucleotide sequences). Phylogenetic inference of morphological and molecular data, including methodological domain of multiple optimality criteria (i.e, parsimony and likelihood), alignment algorithms, and the use of high performance computers. Proficiency in UNIX/Linux operating systems, and instrumental scripting languages (e.g., perl and python).
