I am an Assistant Professor with the Departamento de Zoologia, Universidad de Concepción. My expertise is in the study of the ecology and evolution of parasite-host interactions, with special emphasis on ectoparasites and associated pathogens. I have experience in field work with wild species, collection and identification of parasites and epidemiology of diseases transmitted by vectors. I have published 77 peer-reviewed scientific contributions, and have presented over 100 invited lectures at conferences and seminars worldwide.
