Patricia Lastra Luque (female), PhD in Zoology by thethe University of Aberdeen (UK). Senior researcher with 15 years of experience in life history, growth, and population dynamics of marine top predators including marine mammals, tuna and tuna like species. Currently, she worsk as Marie Curie fellow at the Marine Research Division of AZTI, where she is exploring the fin spine chemistry (i.e. stable isotope and trace elements) and the application of this powerful tool to elucidate migration patterns and trophic ecology of temperate and tropical tuna species. Dr. Luque is a multidisciplinary scientist and has published several articles in high impact international journals and books, contributed to several working documents in ICCAT, participated in numerous international conferences and workshops, obtained competitive scholarships, and collaborated with prestigious researchers worldwide.
