Summary

my research is focused in analyze the interaction between speciation, phenotypic evolution and biogeographical processes over time and how they generate the biodiversity patterns we see. I initially concentrated my studies on the analysis of biogeographic patterns and differentiation of ecological niche of birds. I am currently analyzing, under a comparative approach, the evolution of its morphological diversity, ecomorphology and maroecology. Also, an important part of my work is centered in the analysis of biodiversity patterns and processes in Mexican areas where potential ecological impact can occur due to anthropogenic activity.
