Dr. Shu Morioka, PT, PhD, is a Professor of neurorehabilitation and physical therapy, also he is a chief in the graduate school of health science in the Kio University, located Nara. He graduated from the program in physical therapy of Kochi School of Allied Health and Medical Professions in 1992. He received a Ph.D. in Medicine (Neuroscience) from the Kochi Medical School (Kochi, Japan) in 2004. His research areas are posture balance, perception, motor learning, higher brain functions, and neurorehabilitation. He is a member of the Japanese Physical Therapy Association and a vice-president of the Japanese association for the study of Pain Rehabilitation. His research interests includes: Brain Functions, Behavioral Neuroscience, Perception, Cognition, Posture Balance, Motor Learning, Neurorehabitation.
