Summary
Conrad Burden is a Senior Lecturer in the Mathematical Sciences Institute at the Australian National University lecturing in bioinformatics. His research interests include alignment-free methods of sequence comparison, the analysis of high throughput sequencing data, and modelling of microarrays. Before making the transition to bioinformatics in 2003 he spent 20 years as a theoretical physicist. He received his Ph.D. from the ANU in 1983, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics.
