Summary

Stephen Smith received his Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Lethbridge, and his Master of Arts and Doctorate from the University of Waterloo. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at Vanderbilt University. He has been a professor at the University of Winnipeg since 2006. The primary research focus of the Embodied Emotion Laboratory is to understand the neuroscience underlying interactions between emotion, attention, and movement. Accomplishing this goal involves a number of interrelated projects using cognitive, neuroimaging (fMRI, spinal fMRI, and ERP), and neuropsychological research strategies.
