Summary

Full Professor in the Department of Biochemical Engineering of the School of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with a degree in Chemical Engineering (1985), Master in Chemical and Biochemical Processes Technology and PhD in Biochemistry (1998). I entered as a teacher at the School of Chemistry in 1995, where I work in undergraduate and postgraduate education. I also work in the Professional Master's Program in Environmental Engineering of the Polytechnic School and School of Chemistry / UFRJ. Responsible for the Environmental Technology Laboratory of School of Chemistry / UFRJ, where I coordinate research on the following topics: biological treatment of industrial effluents with emphasis on anaerobic bioreactors and biogas production, hybrid processes of (enzymatic / biological) treatment of effluents from food industries with high content of fat and protein, processes of treatment of recalcitrant effluents.
