Summary

Nazan ÜZÜM is a full Professor of Zoology at Adnan Menderes University, Department of Biology. She gained her master degree on the subject of Taxonomic Investigation of Triturus vulgaris Populations in the North and South of Bozdağlar at Adnan Menderes University in 2001. She completed her PhD thesis at Adnan Menderes University in 2006 with the Age Determination of Triturus karelinii Populations in Turkey. Her main interests are taxonomy, biogeography and ecology of amphibians and reptiles. She is also interested in Turkish Herpetofauna. She is the author of about 43 publications accepted in international journals. She took part in 13 research projects funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and Research Fund of Adnan Menderes University one of which was co-operative study with CNRS (France).
