Summary

I mainly work in the application of molecular techniques to fisheries and aquaculture studies to investigate the population genetic structure and evaluate the current status of genetic variability of stocks in natural populations of fisheries resources and marine organisms. Therefore, I work in authenticity of fishery products, methods in aquaculture and strategies to minimize by-catches of traditional fishing for a gradual elimination of discards in European fisheries.
