Great paper filling the gaps in #monocot #systematics and #biogeography from the #LateCretaceous. Check out the paper: https://t.co/Fdi2gpTsPu and the project: https://t.co/jCE2Ut2z50. #FossilFriday @umich_paleobot @kk_matsunaga https://t.co/NkQJL1jFp8
@JJeiter @AgroBioDiverse Yes! We have scanned some specimens. It's more a problem similar to what we encountered with Viracarpon (https://t.co/8mfgdbsogX). The biggest hurdle is building a comparative dataset at a scale necessary for resolving affinities, in the absence of any very obvious candidates.
