Summary

Victor Manuel Vidal Martínez is currently a Senior Full Professor at the Sea Resources Department, of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies, Mérida, México. He was Vice-President of the Aquatic Animals Health Standards Commission of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), member of the National Research System (SNI-México) and currently SNI 3. His current research focus on parasites of aquatic organisms as indicators of environmental impact. Dr. Vidal areas of expertise include taxonomy and ecology of parasites, and aquatic animal health. Dr. Vidal has coauthored 100 peer-reviewed articles, and book chapters in the aforementioned topics. Dr. Vidal has received grants from funding agencies such as British Council (UK), MEXUS Program (US), and the National Research Council (CONACyT-México).
