It's dumb it took me so long given how well figured the skull is. Seriously the author (Adam M. Yates) did a fantastic job with the figures and having a fantastic drawing of the skull and sutures as they appear in the fossils

@austmus Mekosuchines were a weird, diverse group, including terrestrial and maybe arboreal taxa, but Baru itself seems to have been a semi-aquatic ambush predator. #Croctober #AtoZcrocs #fossils
