Mihail Boyanov

Summary

Dr. M. Boyanov received his medical training at the Medical University Sofia, Bulgaria. He completed his training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Endocrinology Clinic of the University Hospital Alexandrovska in Sofia. At this facility he became Associated Professor in 2007 and Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2012. Dr. Boyanov has prepared two theses in the field of bone densitometry (PhD and DMSc degree). He has published 140 original papers (110 in Bulgarian), 6 monographs (1 in English), 3 textbooks (1 in English). He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the ISCD, the European Society of Endocrinology, the European Thyroid Association and others. He is President of the Bulgarian Society for Clinical Densitometry and Board member of the Bulgarian Society of Endocrinology. His major interests are related to bone densitometry, thyroid diagnostics, type 2 diabetes and hypoglycemia. He is editorial board member of Case Reports in Endocrinology and Edorium Journal of Endocrinology as well as 5 Bulgarian medical journals. He teaches internal medicine and endocrinology to medical students, specializing fellows, graduated specialists and PhD students
