"German universities/research org. primarily funded articles in fully OA journals. The average payment was € 1,298, the median was € 1,231. A total of 94% of the total article volume was supported in accordance with the price cap of € 2,000" #publishing https://t.co/j99y35jRR7
@VandekerckhoveJ @SpringerNature @deal_projekt We'll never know due to an imposed lack of transparency in the system. Some information here on OA https://t.co/VqXX8ZnKgc
@Protohedgehog @SpringerNature @deal_projekt By the way look at the paper below. It seems that before the era of Trans. agreements the expenses for publishing papers in Germany were not similar to those mentioned in the recent TA with SpringerNature, EURO 1298. It could be a starting point to compare https://t.co/kJiPGr0cgg

How do we finance #openaccess? Read more: https://t.co/4NbbLK6c9f on average, we need to pay € 1300 for our article to be published in #oa for the article processing charges. Alternative: institutional basic financing, just like @on_cult thanks to the #gcsc & @ubgiessen
