Summary

My main research areas include the systematics and molecular evolution of Western Palaearctic species. In particularly I am focused on Anatolian historical biogeography. My ongoing research projects are related with (i) mitochondrial transcription system and mitogenome evolution in Hymenoptera, (ii) evolutionary history and genomic caharacterisation of host shift events in the phytophagous and economically important family Cephidae, and (iii) investigation of the DWV virus evolution in honeybees and bumblebees .
