Summary

I am a plant ecologist interested in demography and population dynamics, the study and modeling of species distribution at different levels, patterns of secondary succession, understanding the structure and maintenance of biodiversity, and the study of the effects of climate change on plant populations and communities.
I develop these interests by designing laboratory and field studies in different regions of Mexico including dry and temperate Mexican forests, in which undergraduate and graduate students participate.
