Summary
I am a dedicated marine biologist with a passion for ocean conservation and extensive experience in researching and monitoring marine species. Currently, I work as Science and Conservation Officer at Oceanário de Lisboa in Portugal, where my main responsibilities include scientific research, welfare assessments, and collection management. I actively seek opportunities to contribute my expertise and commitment to initiatives aimed at preserving and sustaining marine ecosystems. I hold a Marine Biology and Fisheries degree from the University of Algarve (UAlg) and a Master’s in Conservation Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL). My research and monitoring efforts primarily focus on various marine species, with a particular emphasis on elasmobranchs and corals, to support conservation endeavors. I have participated in numerous national and international scientific meetings and conferences and have authored or co-authored several scientific publications. Additionally, I have experience supervising and mentoring students in their Master’s theses and other research projects. I collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and international projects to expand species knowledge and contribute to the implementation of conservation strategies.
