Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özhan ŞİMŞEK graduated from Dicle University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology in 2006. In the same year, the researcher started his master's education at Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, completed his master's thesis on mutation detection in citrus fruits in 2009 and started his doctorate education in the same department. The researcher began to work as a Research Assistant at Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in 2010, during his graduate education at Wageningen University in the Netherlands; Marker Development Strategies at the University of Catania, Italy; Gene expression in citrus and Spain Valencia Agricultural Research Institute Genomics Center; He has participated in research on mutation detection in citrus fruits. Özhan ŞİMŞEK completed his doctorate in February 2016 and was appointed to Erciyes University Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture in October 2019. He received the title of Associate Professor in the same month. Özhan ŞİMŞEK has many scientific articles and papers published in international and national journals and congresses.
