Gee Jun obtained a BSc (Honours) from the Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor. He was then offered a fellowship by Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang to complete a Ph.D in Medicine (Immunology). After completing his Ph.D in King’s College London, he did a short post-doctoral stint there. He has now returned to join INFORMM as a lecturer working on vaccine, adjuvants and mammalian protein expression for immunotherapy
