Summary
I am a botanist from the eastern Cape Floristic Region at the southern tip of Africa. I am a research associate of the African Centre for Coastal Palaeoscience and Botany Department at Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa.
I enjoy applying my knowledge of plants to the fields of vegetation science, ecology, biogeography and environmental history. I also have a special interest in the biology and conservation of rare and threatened plant species.
As an avid supporter of community science initiatives, I am involved with the Botanical Society of South Africa and the Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers, and frequent contributor to iNaturalist.
