Summary

I work as researcher in the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR). During the last ten years I have studied many topics of marine biodiversity. I am very interested in the taxonomy and biogeography of marine invertebrates particularly on marine tardigrades. I am also interested in the effect of different anthropogenic disturbances on biodiversity. I have studied the effect of oil spills, metal and organic matter enrichment on meiobenthic and macrobenthic assemblages. I have participated in different projects that studied the effect of global warming on intertidal fucoids and gastropods. Finally, I am interested in the effect of ecosystem engineers (both native and non indigenous) on the biodiversity.
