Summary

I graduated Faculty of Biology, University of Bucharest, in 1990. I defended my PhD Thesis in January 2002 with a subject regarding cito-embriology of representative from Pinaceae. I started my work in University of Bucharest in 1992, at the beginning as botanist in Botanic Garden "D. Brandza", then, in 2002 as university assistant to the Dept. of Botany & Microbiology. Since 2011 I am also director / co-ordinator of Botanic Garden "D. Brandza". Starting with 2016, I hold the position of professor.
Currently, I teaching courses of Plant Taxonomy (for license program), Assessing Biodiversity, Invasive Species (for master program), Didactics of Biology.
The main subjects of my research are alien invasive plants from Romania, plant inventories and habitats identification in different regions of the country, monitoring plant species and habitats of community interest (Natura 2000).
