Correction: Diversity of edible insects in a Natural World Heritage Site of India: entomophagy attitudes and implications for food security in the region

Corrigendum:

An investigation conducted by Cotton University has concluded that Dr Jayanta Kr. Das was omitted from the author list, and that they should have been included as the first-named author. All co-authors have agreed to the Correction to add Dr Jayanta Kr. Das as first-named author.

Additionally, in Table 1 the order and number of species of edible insects has been corrected.

Table 2 has been corrected to reflect errors in the scientific name, order, family, English name, Bodo name, seasonal availability, edibility, and consumption method for all species.

In Table 4, AFH, FBH, OFBH, quadrate occurrence, and abundance data have been corrected for all species.

Figure 3 has been removed as it no longer reflective of the data. All subsequent figures have been renumbered.

In the Results section, the data in the first paragraph has been updated so that:

“A total of 9,213 edible insects were recorded from AFH, 1,455 in FBH, 3,435 in OFH and 6,497 individuals in SAH, during the field observation.”

is now:

“A total of 5,614 edible insects were recorded from AFH, 1,318 in FBH, 3,306 in OFH and 2,096 individuals in SAH, during the field observation.”
