Sze Huei (Zoe) has recently (March 2022) been appointed as a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Tropical Biology & Conservation, specialising in evolutionary ecology of social insects symbiosis, and ants community ecology. Zoe is interested in integration of traditional field-based experiment with molecular biology, -omics and microbiology technique in understanding the trade-off of different players in the spectrum of symbiosis. Zoe currently have projects on ant-plant symbiosis, ants role in island ecology, and social bees-gut microbiome evolution.
