Summary
I am an ecologist with the Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS) in the Prairie Research Institute at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I work as an Ecologist in the Biological Surveys and Assessment Program. I am tasked with conducting surveys and habitat assessments for threatened and endangered amphibians and reptiles in areas scheduled for transportation improvements (e.g.roads, bridges, railways, etc). Thus, I spend more time than the average person looking for and identifying road kill. As time and funding sources allow, I also pursuing my own research interests typically dealing with the conservation and management of lower vertebrates.
