Andre M Siqueira
Graduated in Medicine from the University of Brasilia (2005), Medical Residency in Infectious Diseases at the University of São Paulo (2009), MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (2011) and PhD in tropical diseases by the Amazonas State University (UEA) / Fundação de Medicina Tropical Dr. Heitor Vieira Dourado (2014). He is currently Researcher and Infectious Diseases Consultant at the Instituto Nacional de Infectologia Evandro Chagas (INI-FIOCRUZ), integrating the Clinical Research Laboratory in Acute Febrile Diseases. He has experience in medicine with an emphasis on Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, having worked as Infectologist in various scenarios (outpatient, inpatient and field activities), professor of infectious diseases at UEA (2009-2014) as weel as have been acting in numerous epidemiological studies and clinical trials in infectious diseases witha a main focus in malaria, exercising the functions of investigator and coordinator. Has training in Good Clinical Practice and competence in different epidemiological techniques (applicable to observational and intervention studies), data management, and data analysis and scientific appraisal. Member of Malaria Therapeutics Subcommittee, Ministry of Health of Brazil, as well as eventual consultant of the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization in Plasmodium vivax (specifically contribution to the Global Strategic Plan for elimination of P. vivax).
