Alex Mihlin has earned bachelors of science in electrical engineering and physics, cum-laude from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He earned a masters in theoretical physics from the same institute, and one in electrical engineering from Stanford University. Alex is currently finishing his doctorate in electrical engineering at Stanford, developing medical image reconstruction algorithms on graphics processing units. He has worked for six years as a research scientist in the industry developing massively parallel algorithms for computational physics. In 2014 he co-founded Nitrio, a Palo Alto startup whose product is pushing the envelope of artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Alex has authored 6 articles and two patents. His research interests include large scale artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, stochastic system modeling, and computational optimization.
