Asif I Khan
Summary
Dr. Asif Irshad Khan is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at AMU, Aligarh. With over 20 years of experience spanning teaching, research, and corporate roles, Dr. Khan brings a wealth of expertise to his current position. Prior to joining AMU, he served as an Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and as a Senior Lecturer at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia. He also contributed significantly as a Software Engineer at the Mohd Yusuf Naghi Group of Industries, Jeddah.
Dr. Khan's research spans Component-Based Software Development, Software Security, AI, Health Science, and Cyber Security. His interests extend to fitting process models to experimental data, learning fuzzy rule bases, and exploring neural networks. He has actively collaborated with researchers across diverse computer science disciplines and has led numerous research projects funded by both private and public sectors.
A prolific author, Dr. Khan has published over 100 papers in esteemed international journals and conference proceedings. He has served on program committees for major research conferences and has been Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on more than a dozen sponsored projects funded by the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Abdulaziz University, KSA.
Dr. Khan is also a respected reviewer for leading computer science journals including Engineering Applications of AI, IEEE Access, PeerJ Computer Science, PLOS ONE, Multimedia Tools and Applications, MDPI (Energies and Sensors), and the International Journal of Information Management. His dedication to teaching excellence has earned recognition in both graduate and undergraduate education. He mentors Ph.D. students at universities in KSA and internationally, and he continues to serve as a scientific consultant for national and international institutions.
