Prof. Sotelo-Mundo contributes as an academic editor in PeerJ, PeerJ Inorganic. Chemistry and PeerJ Materials Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Arizona (USA) with Prof. William Montfort. Back in Mexico in 1999 at Centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo (http://www.ciad.mx), Dr. Sotelo-Mundo has contributed to the biochemistry and structural biology of proteins from marine invertebrates. Being at a food science institute has applied biochemistry to food science and technology. Also, he collaborates in the materials science graduate program at Universidad de Sonora as a visiting professor, participating in research about macrocyclic biomimetic molecules. His research focuses on the structure and function of proteins related to disease, and the chemical structure of natural and synthetic molecules related to biomedical applications. The experimental approach is the crystallography of proteins and small molecules, along with biochemical and biophysical techniques. Robert Winkler is Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Biochemical and Instrumental Analysis at the CINVESTAV Unidad Irapuato and faculty member for the postgraduate programs Plant Biotechnology and Integrative Biology. His research topics include novel mass spectrometry techniques such as low-temperature plasma ionization and covalent protein staining, new approaches in the high-throughput metabolomic profiling of plants, computational mass spectrometry and proteomics.
Dr. Junkuo Gao is professor at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China. He obtained his PhD in Zhejiang University, China in 2010. Then, he worked at Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) as a postdoctor. In 2013, he joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University as Distinguished professor of Zhejiang Province, director of Institute of New Energy Fiber Materials. His research interest is metal-organic frameworks based nanomaterials for clean energy and green chemistry applications. He has published more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Small, Coord. Chem. Rev., J. Mater. Chem. A etc. with more than 8900 citations and a H-index of 49.
Dr. Wallen earned a B.S. and Ph.D. from the Univ. of Illinois. He studied supercritical fluids at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory using a variety of spectroscopic techniques including NMR, XAFS, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy. The author of over 50 refereed papers his work has been highlighted in Science and C&E News. He has served as a reviewer for top journals and government science panels. Dr. Wallen is currently working in the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. His research interests are on the development/implementation of green nanotechnology, chemistry and sustainable processes applied to materials synthesis, remediation, recycling and chemical analysis. Projects converting biomass to carbon quantum dots for sensing and electronics; nanophotocatalytic oxidation of wastewater; and use of carbohydrates (biogenic materials) for nanomaterials preparation are ongoing as are development of microvolume, high-pressure continuous flow systems (HP-CFS) to prepare and analyze functional, sustainable nanomaterials. He recently developed the concept of a circular economy paradigm for implementing university science laboratories which led to an Award for Innovation in 2016 by the Campus Safety, Health & Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA). At the 21st Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference Dr. Wallen won the 2017 Applied Separations Prime Grant for commitment to teaching Supercritical Fluids. In his spare time he enjoys his family, playing music and outdoor activities.
My main research interests are marine biodiversity and biogeography, with particular emphasis on species interactions, bioinvasions, and climate change. I use multidisciplinary approaches and combine experimental ecology, physiology, biogeochemistry, phylogeny, and modeling.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh received his BPharm (2003) and MPharm (2005) from UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He started to teach pharmaceutical chemistry at the Shivalik College of Pharmacy, Nangal, in 2006, where he completed his PhD in 2013 from IKG Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Jalandhar. His major areas of research interest are computer-aided drug-design, polymer-drug conjugates for targeted delivery to CNS and cancerous cells, antimalarial therapeutic agents, and green chemistry approaches for chemical synthesis. Dr. Singh has over 15 years of teaching experience and has guided one 03 Ph.D. and 20 PG students. He is currently guiding 02 PhDs and 02 MPharm students. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed SCI/SCOPUS-indexed scientific papers with a total JCR Impact Factor of more than 200 in various chemistry and pharmacy journals such as European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica-B, Bioorganic Chemistry, Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy, Pharmaceutical Research, European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Research, Med. Chem. Res., J. Enzyme Inhi. Med Chem., Res. Chem. Intermediate etc as main or corresponding author. He currently serves as an Editorial Advisory Board Member of 10 international journals, including the SCI-indexed MRMC (Bentham) and PeerJ. He has received the Publon Award 2016, 2017 and the Publon "Excellent Peer Reviewer Award" for outstanding reviewing of more than 290 research papers in different international journals of ACS, RSC, Springer, Elsevier, Dove, Informa, and Bentham whose Impact Factor varies from 1.0 to 12.5. He also has over 60 National and International Conference Abstracts, 5 Books, 5 Best Paper Presentation Awards, 1 Travel Grant to attend International Conferences, and 5 Research Projects funded by Indian Government Agencies. He is also on the panel of international reviewers for research proposals for Royal Society Grants. He is also serving as a PUBLON ACADEMY MENTOR and a BENTHAM BRAND AMBASSADOR. He has been recognized by the Editors as an OUTSTANDING REVIEWER for RSC Medicinal Chemistry journal (IF 4.1, Q1) and also for BENTHAM PUBLISHER in 2023. His name is recently featured in the list of top 2% scientists (2023) ranked by team of Stanford University, USA and Elsevier.
Prof. André Ricardo Fajardo is graduated in Chemistry (2007), M.Sc. (2009) and Ph.D. (2013) degrees in Chemistry at Maringá State University (Brazil). Ph.D. with a sandwich period at CERMAV (Grenoble-France, 2012-2013). Currently, he is Professor at Universidade Federal Pelotas (Brazil). Research-leader in the Laboratory of Technology and Development of Composites and Polymeric Materials (LaCoPol). He is the author of more than 80 papers with IF and his main research interests include polymer chemistry, polymeric biomaterials, polymeric composites, natural polymers, hydrogels, and absorbent materials.

Group Leader of Analytical and Molecular Bioscience Research Group and a Chair Professor at Research Chair for Biomedical Applications of Nanomaterials, King Saud University. PhD from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India and received scientific trainings in USA, UK, Denmark and Finland. Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK. Authored more than 300 publications including 2 books and 20 book chapters. Recipient of Microsoft eScience Award. Listed in Top-2% World Ranking of Scientists. Research interests are clinical biochemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, nanobiotechnology, molecular conservation, bioinformatics, pharmacology, and toxicology.
Sreeprasad Sreenivasan is an Asst. Professor in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Texas at El Paso. After completing his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Kansas State University and Rice University. Before joining UTEP, Dr. Sreenivasan was a faculty member at Clemson University (Research Scientist) and University of Toledo (Research Asst. Professor). His research interest is in two-dimensional quantum materials. In addition to probing the fundamental properties, his lab also applies quantum structures with engineered properties for electronics, energy, sensing, and biomedical applications.
P. Davide Cozzoli received his MSc degree in Chemistry in 1999 and his PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2004 from the University of Bari, Italy. From 2004 to 2005 he worked as post-doctoral fellow at the University of Bari. In 2005 he joined the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (NNL) of CNR Institute Nanoscience, Lecce, Italy. As CNR Associate Researcher, he led the Nanochemistry group of NNL from 2009 to 2014. Since 2015 he holds a permanent position as Associate Professor of Experimental Matter Physics at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy, and he responsible for Nanochemistry Facility of the CNR Institute of Nanotechnology, Lecce. Currently, he serves as Associate Editor of Sci. Adv. Mater. J. Nanoengineering & Nanomanufacturing, Mater. Focus, J. Nanomater., Intern. J. Photoenergy, and Front. Mater., and as editorial board member of Science China Materials, AIMS Materials Science, and General Chemistry. So far, he has published about 120 scientific works, edited one book (a second book is under preparation) and two conference proceedings. His scientific work has overall attracted over 7700 citations (H-index=42). His research focuses on the development of advanced colloidal inorganic nanocrystals with controlled structural and topological features for applications in (photo)catalysis, photovoltaics, optoelectronics and biomedicine.
