
Jia-Shi Zhu
Summary
Dr. Jiashi Zhu graduated from Capital University of Medicine, Beijing, and from Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology, Stanford University School of Medicine, California, obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1993. He served as a resident physician in medicine and director of GI Function Testing in Beijing Friendship Hospital, Beijing (1976-1984); a GI fellow in Seton Medical Center, Daly City, California (1984-1986) and in Stanford University School of Medicine (1985-1986); a junior investigator of NIH Center at Stanford Medical Center (1990-1994) and a PhD postdoctoral fellow in La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation and Stanford University, California (1993-1995), and a staff research associate at Stanford University School of Medicine (1996). After 17 years of research management service in Nu Skin Pharmanex, he retired from his Senior Director of Pharmacology and Clinical Affairs post in 2013. He is now an adjunct professor of Department ABCT, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Division of Life Sciences and Health, Tsinghua University Graduate School at Shenzhen, China. He obtained 5 fellowship awards, 7 research awards/grants, 6 visiting/adjunct professorships. He is a member of 11 American medical/biological societies, and published 3 US patents, >150 DNA sequences in NCBI GenBank, >70 papers/chapters and presented his studies in >220 science meetings.
