Yahya Al Naggar


Dr. Al Naggar works as a lecturer of Entomology and ecotoxicology at Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, Tanta University. I got my B. Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from zoology department, faculty of science, Tanta University, Egypt in 2007 and 2011 respectively. Then I traveled to Canada, where I joined to Prof. John Giesy group at toxicology center, Saskatchewan University for my PhD project from 2012-2015. I have a great experience in beekeeping, pesticides toxicology, molecular techniques and ecological risk assessment of pesticides on bees. Moreover, my ongoing research is directed toward the effects of neonicotinoides and heavy metals nanoparticles on honey bee immunity and susceptibility to different infectious diseases. I have published 10 peer-reviewed journal articles. I have awarded the scientific publication award several times from Tanta University, Egypt. Recently, I have been awarded the gold medal for best oral presentation at the 13th Asian apicultural association conference (Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). I serve as a reviewer and academic editor in many journals.
