Nélida R. Villaseñor
Dr. Nélida Villaseñor is a Veterinarian, MSc. in Wild Lands and Nature Conservation (Universidad de Chile) and PhD in Environment (The Australian National University). After her Bachelor, she worked on applied ecological research as part of the Wildlife Ecology Lab and Geomatics and Landscape Ecology Lab at the University of Chile, as well as in environmental consulting agencies. In her Master thesis she worked on animal translocations. She moved to Australia for her PhD in Environment, where she focused her research on Biodiversity Conservation in Urbanising Forested Landscapes.
The main goal of her work is to provide scientific evidence to inform biodiversity conservation in landscapes under development pressure.
She has worked with some of the leading scientists in Conservation and Landscape Ecology, such as as Professor David Lindenmayer.
