My primary research interests are in the biology of bloodsucking insects, with particular emphasis on horse- and deerflies (Diptera: Tabanidae) but also with strong interests in mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) and blackflies (Diptera: Simuliidae).
In the Tabanidae, my major interests are in mating behavior and energetics of the males.
