Summary
My introduction to science was through phage-bacterial interaction and I was fascinated by changes in the host after it encounters an invading microbe. I started understanding bacterial response to bacteriophage infection and subsequent defense strategies. I expanded my interest in host response to higher eukaryotes from arthropods to mammals against bacterial infections. Currently I am a vector biologist interested in understanding the vector-microbe interaction and its contribution to disease transmission. My drive is to find the correlation between fundamental principles of life that plays a role to balance such cross-kingdom interactions.
