Summary
I am the group leader for computational omics at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland WA. My research interests are focused on algorithms for proteomics data analysis and subsequent interpretation, integration and analysis. Within proteomics, I have worked on proteogenomics of bacteria and human cancers, metaproteomics, and fundamental algorithms for signal processing and peptide identification. I also research visual analytics as a method to assist non-computational experts in analysis of large and complex multi-omics data. Before joining PNNL, I was an Assistant Professor of Informatics at the J. Craig Venter Institute in Rockville, MD.
